Day 2 of starting the new year right. Yesterday’s post can be found here. A minister parked his car in a no-parking zone in a large city because he was short of time and couldn’t find a space with a meter. Then he put a note under the windshield wiper that read: “I have circled the block 10 times. If I don’t park here, I’ll miss my appointment. Forgive us our trespasses.” When he returned, he found a citation from a police officer along with this note: “I’ve circled this block for 10 years. If I don’t give you a ticket I’ll lose my job. Lead us not into temptation.” We all know the difference between right and wrong. Chances are we have all repented. I want to touch on two things. Now when you’ve done something wrong 1. We must repent of our sins and change our ways. NOT Just repent but believe the good news. That Jesus has OVER come the world and NO sin is too great for his power. We must just BELIEVE and take steps towards the cross. a. Mark 1:15 "The time has come," he said. "The kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news!" 2. Don’t let the enemy remind you of your past. REMEMBER, you are redeemed and covered by the blood. The enemy will do EVERYTHING HE CAN to try to remind you of his path. We have peace in Christ Jesus. Remember, what every it is BUT GOD has overcome the world. a. John 16:33 “I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world." JV
